My career began in 2001 teaching in the social studies department Jeannette Junior High School. There, I worked with a team of dedicated professionals to create a new course for the district, Global Issues-an experience that has proven invaluable in my curriculum development for the UAIS. After five years of teaching at Jeannette, I moved to Stevenson High School where I taught US History, World History and the inaugural AP World History at that school. During that time, I also worked with the UAIS Curriculum Planning team in the development of the Group 3 curriculum. That experience solidified my desire to teach in this program, which became a reality in the fall of 2009. Having the opportunity to work with exceptional students from throughout the Utica community has been the highlight of my career and I am so excited to aid these students in their pursuit of the prestigious IB Diploma.
