I am thrilled to be a faculty member of the Utica Academy for International Studies.  The International Baccalaureate model resonates with my long-held teaching philosophy, and I look forward to having the opportunity to teach in such an enriching environment.  Furthermore, IB values artistic expression and recognizes the Arts as a unique way to interact with the world around us and better understand the human experience.  Students should be encouraged to be independent, lifelong learners and creative problem solvers, and I believe the classroom culture valued by the UAIS will make this possible.  I look forward to expanding my own professional horizons as the students and faculty of the UAIS embark on this new, exciting venture together.
