Since becoming aware of the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program, I have been excited at the opportunity the Academy will provide students.  Embedded in the Mathematics curriculum is appreciation of not only the subject itself, but the historical and multicultural context of the discipline as well.  Having worked with students in Advanced Placement courses, I have an understanding of the unique challenges that will face the Academy students.  I am excited for the opportunity to help the array of students the Academy will have find the success to which they aim.
