From The Principal
Greetings UAIS families!
I want to share some information related to our remote learning plan for students. While we are disappointed that COVID-19 spikes have led to a change in our in-person learning plans, we remain committed to the health and saftey of our school community. We will continue with our remote learning schedule using the above refrenced block schedule.
We are hopeful that the trends related to the spread of COVID-19 reverse and we will once again be able to look at returning students to our school for in-person learning.
As members of the GLK-UAIS community, I'm sure you recognize the unique nature of our program. A full virtual program in not available that meets the rigorous demands of the International Baccalaureate curriculum that is the heart of our work. As a result, all GLK-UAIS students will continue their status as remote/in-person enrollment. It is not necessary for you to complete the enrollment information shared earlier with all UCS parents.
Reminder, students will be marked absent if they are not logged in for their classes. Please call the office if your child is absent class due to illness, appointments, etc. Attendance will be taken every day, during every block, as if students were attending school in person. Grades will be assigned for students’ work throughout the remote and virtual learning phase. Students will engage in synchronous (live) and asynchronous (independent/on your own) activities. Please encourage your child to be an active participant in all lessons and activities.

I look forward to working with you and your family as we tackle a very unique learning experience for our students, teachers and support staff.
We appreciate your patience and continued support!
All the best!
